Fun. I'll go with that. This is a unique one. At first it smells too fresh...but drink up, and this is good. Dark fruityness, a hint of spice, and some funkyness. overall interesting and fairly balanced

$10 bottle of wine that tastes like a $5 bottle of wine. Man this is bad. It reminds me of the gross table wine that they sell in the grocery stores.

What's the varietal? How do they make it? What does it say in Italian on the front of the bottle? These are all great questions that I don't have answers to. The bottle is thick glass like you would find on a higher scale wine. Stewed fruit with a lot of extraction and concentration of flavors. A bit sweet but not cloying or Cali jammy. There is decent acidity and tannin to balance the wine out. For the money this is definitely a buy. Grab a few bottles for when you have friends over as this will appeal to the masses. Cheers.

Excellent new find from Trader Joe's. It's a dark red with lots of body. Similar to amarone in character.

It ain't complex. But it's ok. Kind of acidic, but it'll do. Some dark fruit, but not as much as I like.
