Lord’a’mercy! Star bright straw gold in the glass. Clean powerful nose of hay and white flowers, buffered on the full-bodied palate with baked quince and pie spices along with a backbone of firm (high) acidity. Food? Yes! Roasted chicken, game fowl, pork tenderloin, root vegetables, or greens, just for starters. Porch sipper? If you don’t mind the subdued fruit, most certainly! A solid all-around white that should satisfy most needs. And with a great QPR to boot!

Dry and refreshing...almost like a champagne without the bubbles.

Sipping Fine Wine

Clear straw yellow color.  Aromas of tropical fruits with floral scents. The palate shows peachy and citrus flavors. Bright acidity carries this wine to s medium length finish. A bit more complex than 2014 but not as crisp. Good value.

Tastes like guava and smells likes you’re sipping it next to a pool and a flower bush of some sort

Tart and acidic, Granny Smith upfront with a tropical finish — passion fruit, kumquat. But a little one note in its sharpness

Food-friendly #stellenbosch estate #cheninblanc - baked apple, honey and soft white flowers on the nose. Delicious bright acidity, steely apple on the tongue. Strong estate offering for the price - paired pretty well with a Manchurian cauliflower and rice dish picking up the tart notes in the sauce and enough verve to complement the Asian spices. ~$13 at Total Wine.
