Decent supermarket Pinot. Used this as our California Pinot for an online UC Davis wine tasting course my wife is taking. Garnet red, very good clarity, good pigment extraction. Aromas of strawberry jam, black pepper, raisin and plum, and a hint of graphite. Dry, good acidity, light tannins. In the mouth, strawberry jam, black pepper and raisin flavors dominate. Light bitterness and skin astringency, short finish. Deserves more love here, and I’m more used to Oregon Pinot noirs than Cali.
