Founded in 1945, as a small historic wine estate perched at 2000 feet overlooking Silicon Valley in the Santa Cruz Mountains, an original “boutique” winery. A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc & 2% Petit Verdot, aromas of dark berry fruits, tobacco and dried herbs. Flavors of blackberry, herb pepper and earthy tones, savory, well balanced with a touch or sweet oak. Needs decanting. Firm tannins, lingering ending with mineral notes. Very Nice.

The oak is really well integrated but can easily use another 8 years. Extremely balanced, fun green pepper, fruit is all there and will continue to develop. Santa Cruz is a total gem.

Stunning Cabernet Sauvignon with powerful cherry nose, with hints of leather and earth, and palette of berries and balanced acidity. A great value expressing terroir more than most California Cabernet.
