If you’re going to drink a 16.5% alc wine, this is the way to go. Certainly intense, concentrated, extracted yet no burn on the finish, well balanced, smoooth. It is very good for what it is

Bold and powerful. I imagine this was a complete fruit bomb originally, but after 7 years, this has softened up and become quite enjoyable.

The walking embodiment of lack of finesse. I kid, I kid, but this could use some tannin, earth or spice to bring balance to the whole palate. Big, dark fruit, syrupy palate with massive, inky body, and a chalky, somewhat non-distinct finish. A display of towering power but still somehow lacking.

Amazing Aussie Shiraz. Tons for fruit (black cherry, plum, raspberry). Great finish.

Enjoyed at Capital Grille. We bring the 1.5L with us to minimize corkage fee. This was an excellent wine pairing with dry-aged beef and sushi grade rare tuna. What a treat !

Dense dark ruby almost black. A little closed after the initial decant. Coconut Oak and ripe black fruits. A big full bodied palate with the ripe fruit hiding the 16% Alcohol. Finishes with supple smooth tannins. A great wine for Winter - you could not drink this on a hot day. Easy to like and the best value of their many Cuvees - this is a good formula for Mollydooker. Not sure I could take more density and concentration like the Velvet Glove. Will have a bottle of the Carnival of Love in a few weeks.
