Been enjoying NZ Pinot. The youthfulness (of the vines) is apparent with brightness. Paired with crunchy red fruits here it makes for good stuff (@ $13)...

A few days old already so this one deserves as asterisk. Still, not a bad New World Pinot. Huge, red and black fruit preserves in the nose, and a little butterscotch, but that might be oxidation. Palate is pretty close to the nose. Blackberry, cinnamon, and butterscotch.

Mohua's sauv blanc is much better. This Pinot has some bright shallow fruit and a surprising dose of stinky sock, but there's an unappetizing cheap sour finish that lingers far too long.

Not vibrant in fruit as self described. The front had ocean salt, subtle taste of black cherry, leather and back end terroir finish with some length. The right food could bring more out in this wine. Maybe risotto ?
