Birth year wine!!! 82 Dom was fantastic. Still has some fizz left. This was a perfectly stored example still in its original box with unbroken seal. Mature but light golden color. Fine bubbles that only lasted a little while. Still fresh with beautiful flower blossoms on the nose with, mandarin orange, almond and Creme brûlée. On the palate long and intriguing. This was my last of 3 bottles and a great way to celebrate my 39th birthday.

1982 Dom Perignon - cork came out with surprisingly low effort. Totally intact with mild back pressure

Appearance
Bright orange amber
Small, fine bubbles

Aroma
White mushroom, slate, dry brush, fig, apricot, orange zest, cheese rind, Dried white flower, almond

Palate
Streak of high mouth-filling acidity, light in body
orange, briny, honey flavors predominate on the palate. fine fading mousse

Lengthy finish on orange → blood orange

Fully Mature and with a pleasant deep oxidative character as above, still retaining a ton of life. Extremely pleasant but past its peak...still I wouldn’t trade this experience for drinking it sooner. Enjoyed in a special moment with my family.
