May 31st, 2020Excellent Villages Beaune. Light transparent ruby, very aromatic. Sappy Cherry fruit. Underlying minerality and a fairly long finish. Excellent QPR as well. 12.5% abv. Delicious.

Dark, earthy, almost feral initially. Opening into ripe strawberry and rose. Balanced, but a little rough -- just right with rack of lamb.

Hooray for shipping season and new wine arrivals. Really like this, light and pretty with backbone, drinking well but will continue to evolve. Fresh red cherries, some herbal notes, rosewater, slight hint of earth. Tannins fine but very grippy, this has plenty of life left. Nice village wine.
