“Michael” and “David” are Michael and David Phillips, brothers whose family has farmed fruits and vegetables in the Lodi region since the 1850s. Purple inky color, dark black fruit aromas. On the palate plums, blackberries and blueberries with spice notes. Fine tannins, easy to drink wine, medium body, good balance and finished with a pleasant character. Nice value for very easy drinking wine.

Very pleasant aquitaintance. Intense blueberry on the nose with some blackcurrant undertones. The flavor is fiery with lots of blueberry, smooth blackcurrants and blackberry jam. I think I feel some hints of chocolate. But the jammy flavours are too overwhelming for me to be sure.

2016 vintage. Brought to us for party. Not ce color. Blackberry and other fruits. A bit sweet when drinking and at finish. Not what usually equate with a nice Syrah. Fine for cheaper wine. NOLA

Great value. Big and bold, doesn’t hold back. Ripe black fruits with pepper and a little heavy on the oak.

Color of deep purple. Nose and f cocoa, chocolate, dark fruits, raisin, powerful tobacco leaves, and a bit rose note. Nose is plenty and powerful. Taste of dark cherry, sweet grapes, a bit too watery considering the note is powerful, mellow tannins, medicinal note, tobacco leaves, and a bit spice. Aftertaste is some more medicinal note, a bittersweet, and a bit cranberry. Above average.
