Burgenlandred Zweigelt/Blaufrankisch Blend

2018 is 60% Zweigelt, 30% Blaufrankisch, and 10% St. Laurent. Wonderful aromatics - dark raspberry, sour cherries, almost Lambic like, slight forest floor and savory undertones. The sour cherry comes through to the palate with brambles, and wild mushroom umami. At 12%abv, Pinot Noir like weight, but intriguing complexity.

A true disappointment when compared to all of the other meinklang wines.

Reviewing this again because it is my favorite wine!! Super jammy and round but not heavy, hits all the right notes. I drink my wines slow, so on the 3rd day this has notes of currants, overripe plums and berries, and dark chocolate. Yum!

Kinda ok. Kind of in between. Could be a wilder white or a better orange..

Very light drinkable summer wine. Roof top, sub tanning m, day drinking wine. Low alchy so not too drunk but refreshing, mature and enjoyable :)

Nice berry/cherry flavor but not much acid or zing

This wine was jammy and slightly sour at the end. I am just starting to enjoy wine, but I think the acidity of this bottle was well-balanced. I liked the fact that this wine is from a biodynamic farm, which is important to me. I’d definitely buy this wine again. Purchased as Social Wines in South Boston.

Needed to breathe a bit, but strong sour cherry. Pretty awesome

Biodynamic wine from Lake Neusiedl. 60% Zweigelt, 30% Blaufrankisch, 10% St. Laurent mix. It got much better as it sits.

Chocolate covered cherries. Reminiscent of a port (sorry?). Full bodied.
