This winery seems to thrive on it's Chardonnays being different than the typical California. You can definitely tell that this wine is made in a more Chablis style then your overly buttery and really oak-ey typical California Chardonnay. What you get is a well structured and very tight wine. The flavor profile is very strange as you would almost expect minerals, but instead you get light but strong fruit with green apples, white peach, and key lime present but still having your Chardonnay buttery vanilla/oak thing going. Definitely not overwhelming, but I wouldn't really parrot up against stronger foods. A definite positive experience to try not only for the variety but the different flavors that can be found here.
