Earthy Beetroot, Root vegetable flavours. Just Medium weight - cooler flavours. Softer tannins and muted acid. Not for the long term. Probably more impressive 2 to 3 years ago. Tasted again 56 weeks later on 8th March 2020 with consistent notes. Better and fresher a few years ago.

Twiggy with beetroot aromas. On the palate earthy beetroot notes with black cherry and spiced cranberry. Lovely supple tannins. The palate is more profound than the nose which is rather muted by comparison. Delicious now but could drink the remainder over the next 3 years. With NZ Pinot Central Otago gets most of the plaudits and positive press but personally I prefer Martinborough and Canterbury for Pinot Noir.
