What a nose. Citrus, perfume, spice. Crazy aromas. Palate is so tangy, salty and citrusy. Acid is off the charts. Superb purity. Juicy. Decadent yet stern and energetic. Linear and long. In a perfect space.

What a great bottle. White chocolate, tangerine, herbs, white pepper, pepper, citrus oil, very complex. Rich, vibrant and complex with significant structure still. Needs 45 more minutes. Very pretty and very pure. Juicy long and explosive.

So much density on such a spare frame; that's the trick great dry Mosel Riesling pulls off. Its super savory, smells a bit like a bowl with a couple of overripe pears sitting with a ton of wild sage. A bit of marzipan. Juicy, structured, and long.

Mint, currants, bruised apples. Touch chewy. Interesting and delicious. And a nice way to revisit my first year in Deutschland.

Really tight. Back to it later.

After 5.5 hours open. Classic Huhnerberg nose of dripping wet minerals. Orange peel, honey, bitter herbs, exotic spice. Super aromatic. Took a while to get there. Palate is structured and deep with an opulent texture and good concentration and that wonderful 08 acidity to keep things lively. Still a bit awkward and my last bottle was better.

Citrus oil, mint, tangelo, dried tea leaves, potpourri of Huhnerberg. Sick nose. Palate is like 1er Cru white burgundy structurally, then very herbal and mineral, juicy, so long, so complex.

Entering beautiful maturity now— reserved and balanced, nose is a kind of featherduster meets honeysuckle, grayish greenish yellow color and salivating fruit and acid. Long list of fruity and earthy layers like grapefruit and tea. Loving this bottle thoroughly but will enjoy more over the next 10 years, too.
