Feb 14th, 2022Mirabelle plum, pink grapefruit, apricot, other citrus, maybe blood orange, minerality is exquisite, sweet detailed but so dry on the nose. Inner mouth aromas, crystalline structure, very pure, long, sexy ample texture. Long. Grippy. Needs 3-4 years. Then will last 10-15 years.
With air this comes alive more. Candied apricots, confectionery aromas and superb spice. Palate is tangy and fresh with loads of acidity. Gorgeous clarity and tremendous finesse and precision.

Whacks the mouth with intensity but then settles into a long finish with clinging aromatic notes of fruit and stone. Nice acidity, but it’s submerged in the flavors and subtle. Very rich for a dry Riesling.
An elegant and deep nose with loads of deep stony minerality with a hint of petrol. There is also beautiful, juicy, peachy fruit underneath. And a pollen-like note. Beguiling nose of slate, white peach, just ripe apricot, vulcanized rubber, herbs, and more. Super complex and refined. Palate is explosive and also refined, with amazing palate presence, density and mineral crunch. Really classy stuff for the amount of material here. Stunningly long citrus/stone fruit finish that is tightly coiled but incredible promising. The length of this is quite notable. Beautiful wine.

Nose is minerals made from lemon rocks. Lemon flowers. Lovely.
Palate is incredibly mineral. Gods lemon soda. Just so fresh. So well made. An echo of pith to balance it out. Very slightly delicious. Enough to make it interesting but not so much to make it Jejune. So true to place.
This is not a show stopper. But it is a beautiful example of what it is. And with proper food a part of a perfect evening.

Palate is stunning mineral lemon candy. Knife edge precision. Lovely minerality. So precise and balanced. Like great champagne. Good density. Not elite. But expertly made. This could not be better made. Minerals are so present the are almost spicy.
