Man, I hadn’t had one of Mark’s wines in a while but this was just a reminder of how great the wines he makes are. Dark ruby red, medium viscosity, some staining. Nose sees well balanced oak, vanilla, tart, cooked cherries, some dark balsamic vinegar. Palette sees solid tannins, enjoyable mouthfeel and weight, long aftertaste of tart cherries, gravel. Such a delight- I also greatly prefer this Merlot focused blend over the GSM Numbskull. A treat for my last bottle of this! 😭
