This one will require age. The tannins are big and dry.

Nose is a bit shutdown at this stage. Nice mixed red fruits with barrels toast elements of; vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, spice & dry soils.

The palate is fresh and lovely with juicy, floral fruits of, blackberries, black raspberries, purple fruits, dark cherries & strawberries. Dry, crushed Rick power, dry top soils, dry brush, dark spices, black rich earth, dark chocolate, mocha powder, caramel notes, subtle dry tobacco, leather, some sage notes, anise, berry cola and really beautiful florals of nearly all darker colors. Excellent acidity. Well made, structured & balance. Solid wire to wire. Starts fruity, brings some herbaceous notes and fall on softened earthiness pick up 2-3 points in 8-10 years.

The ‘15 was simply amazing. Just velvety and plush.

Big nose. Slightly browned on the edges. Bold fruit. Cherry meets Tabasco meets black fruit. Smooth.

12’ Mark Herold White Label. Had this cab a year ago. It never truly opened up like it did in 2015/16/17. Still slightly shut down (Need to revisit in a year)Truly coming to life with a bit more air.
Color- Dark purple. You can smell it from two feet away, as you pour it into the decanter.
Dark-ripe strawberries, blueberries , black currant, spicy tobacco, black licorice.
Drinkable(now)age-worthy potential of this wine is there. 10+ great years left in this beautiful Cab.

Second Wine for thanksgiving dinner. Deep ruby red. Better the second day with some stinky notes, forest floor, dark berries, and some herbal notes. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Dark berries and herbal notes on the palate. Some light greenery too. Overall a very impressive 2011 bottling. Drink till 2022.

Squid ink black, wasn't sure what to expect since I've never had this bottle. Boom!!!! Your senses are seductively overwhelmed by gravel, graphite, black fruit a huge power house of perfection for the senses all perfectly integrated with oak front, mid and back.
I really, really dig this !!!!
Thank you bud for an amazing rockstar gift!!! 👍👏👏👏👏🍷

Classic Cab Sav with loads of green bell pepper matched with dark dried fruit. Tannins last and last. This year might be peaking or already peaked. I would say to definitely drink in the next two years but should last another 5 before falling apart.
