Really good. Light and fruity, with solid body start to finish. Definately decant at lunch for dinner drinking. Funk blows off after about 2 hours.

This was a hard one to wrap my head around on night one. But, come night two, three of the four varietals were beginning to harmonize. Cab pencil/graphite is the dominate taste with Sangiovese not far behind. The Syrah is a shadow appearance but I’ve not a clue where the Merlot is hiding.
8.7 for now with perhaps an 8.8 down the road.

Sasarello is brimming with damson and black cherry characters, with hints of black pepper, savory, toasty vanilla notes and elegant tannins, followed by a long ripe finish"

It definitely helps to air this wine out but I still find this wine a let down. It tastes a lot lighter than it looks in the glass. While there’s pleasing acidity, I found it missing complexity and depth, and yes, there’s such a thing as too little tannins which makes this red #sicilianblend flat.
