The color of sun-bleached straw, Mailly Grand Cru L'Intemporelle Brut 2009 offers up a garland of creamy bubbles and lilting notes of white peach, buttered scone, white flowers and smoky minerality. There is slightly more weight on the palate than one might anticipate given the nose, a plunge through discreet layers of pear and stone fruit until at last, a foundation of chalk and limestone shines through. Comprised of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. Sample

Oct 8th, 2016Opened another bottle. Very elegant, aromas of gentle citrus and floral scents. Offering flavors of peach and pear, with lemon spice fruit. Shows fine balance and integration with a fresh lasting finish of ripe fruit and saline minerality. Very nice. Gives Dom a run!
