May 25th, 2019I was surprised at how good this Aglianico was. It starts with a nice fruit mix of pomegranates and blueberries, and then finishes with smooth tannins. It needs some air before it opens up. It went very well with Fettuccine alla Bolognese. Less intense and more fruity than the powerful Aglianico from Irpinia or Taurasi, but also easier to drink alone or with less intense foods like pasta. With steak or lamb, a Taurasi would be better, but I would recommend this wine with anything else. Drink now!
