Achtung! Gemischter Satz Orange Wine White Blend
11 weeks on skins. One year in big old oak. Then one year in stainless. Roter Veltliner, Grüner Veltliner mainly. Aromatics of pear and apple. Almost brandy-like. SO2 at bottling only. Delicious and exciting.

Despite only 12,5% alcohol on the label, there's a sense of heat on the finish, which also is clipped and lacks persistence. The tannic sensation from the skins is the only true positive feature in this ambitiously made, but not very exciting wine.

Mar 5th, 2016Great wine but at US$60 I thought it was a bit overpriced. It was also a bit too cold when I openned it and was getting better by the time we polished it off.
