Crimson color with smoky, earthy, red fruit aromas. With a hint of graphite. On the palate its medium-bodied, fresh showing slightly astringent tannins in Day 1 that soften to appealing dusty tannins on Day 2 with juicy focused black cherry, red currant flavors with a bit of minerality and a lingering delicious finish. A Ciro DOC Rosso Riserva of 95% Gaglioppo 5% Greco Bianco and Trebbiano Toscano. Very good QPR @$16!

A wee bite at the beginning quickly subdued by smooth dark cherry taste. Opening up but remains true to self. Having with Baled Tandori chicken. Food and wine on equal terms. Just how I like for tonight.

Cirò Rosso DOC Classico Superiore Riserva, 13,5%. Toasted scents, cherries, dried fruits and peanuts. In the mouth is elegant, very traditional. Licorice roots. 89/100.

Bright uplifting fruit on top of some mineral and Earth. Served slightly chilled makes for a great summer night red. Great value. Pizza, pasta, olives, artichokes etc...

Nov 25th, 2015Solid brand from southern Italy. Mine 2nd wine from Librandi and I'm very satisfied. Roasted and smoked, ginger spicy warm nose, in mouth Gaglioppo tastes light/medium with pleasant bitterness and minty finish.
