Laurence et Remi Dufaitre
(Pink Flower) Brouilly Gamay
Presented double-blind. Wine pours a deep ruby and slightly turbid; slight staining of the tears. On the nose, bruised strawberry, some cedar notes, olive brine, cranberry and dried green herbs. On the palate, the wine is bright with mostly red fruits. There’s a slight prick to the tongue. The wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium tannin. Thought it was from Burgundy. Called 2017 Bourgognon Rouge. Dufaitre is making some really enjoyable wines.
