It is still unlike any other Pinot Noir I have tasted especially from this AVA… Which is actually Carneros. after eight years en bouteille still How’s life. But the nose is funky but once you get over that there is nice cherry with cola. remarkably soft and sexy. Pinot Noir could be very thin but this has a Luxuriously full mouth feel and yet has very subdued and balanced fruit with moderate anise and raisin and is incredibly balanced. Near zero acidity as typical of the AVA, And the relatively high alcohol is somehow completely integrated.

Rasp/cherry compote, licorice, stem/earth, tar and a touch of a medicinal character. Quite fruit forward for me, but good acid and somewhat subdued alcohol.

Apr 20th, 2015Just the right amount of barnyard without touching on foul fecundity. A bit high in alcohol but helps the full mouthfeel. Round, velvety texture.
A couple years later, I have to say it hasn't aged well.
