Had another bottle of this Bordeaux blend of grapes, Cabernets Sauvignon & Franc, Malbec, Merlot, & Petit Verdot, aged for 24 months in 100% French Oak. Still great showing refinement with plenty of rich black fruit on the palate adding notes of leather, oak and pepper spice. Smooth rich tannins, balanced acidity. Didn’t need as much decanting as it did a few years ago, cellaring works!! Lingering finish ending with smoky notes, enjoyable.

Another great last minute gathering at the storage facility!

Surprise of the day! Mark busted this out and it showed so well amongst the other big hitters. Right up Mark’s alley, with a well balanced profile of red and black fruit amongst herbal and spice filled notes. Fresh pressed blackberries and lavender leaves. If you’ve got ‘em, open and enjoy, but this will go another 5-7 easily.

Best of the best vintages but needs some cellar time for sure. Huge and tannic. Needs time for nuances to blossom. Great vintage.

Per sommelier - Alexander Valley is good for Cabs. Certainly right on this one. Although it was pricey

Truly spellbinding wine. The earthier side of Cabernet with fennel, lead and mint. New oak integrated very well.
