Il Rosé di Casanova, Rosato, Toscano. 50% Sangiovese, 50% Prugnolo Gentile. Light salmon pink with burnt orange tinge. Apricot-peach aromas, strawberry peach flavors, peach fuzz like astringency on finish, quite evocative really. Nice dry Rosé with just enough acidity, better for sipping than with food.

Aug 27th, 2019ravishing rosé ✨ alert: I included this $13 ‘17 #LaSpinetta Il Rose di Casanova in an event I did in Westchester last night, and true to its name, it sent hearts racing ❤️ . Refreshing but uncommonly flavorful (cherry, peach, maybe some orange peel), with zippy tang and a long, lovely finish. Bonus: the label features the majestic rhinoceros 🦏 etched by genius artist Albrecht Dürer in the sixteenth century. If I had a summer house, this #wine would be stocked like soda. 🥤

Oct 20th, 20152014. Barely colored and without a lot of nose. Very light fruit and plenty of citrus acid: this wine acts like a high acid white. Good seafood wine. Very slight tannin.
