Old school style bottle. Fat bottomed. With a bearded fellow’s portrait above. Dark plum colored. Smells like rain and cooking cranberry sauce. Flavors are simple, but fairly classic for middle of the range sang. Bark and sticks meets savory smoked fruits. Plenty of chewy tannin and inky ball point pen. Hint of rust. This is food wine that isn’t bad by itself.
