From Magnum. Opens up quickly with a very complex nose of tobacco, leather, warm spices. The American oak is certainly present with dill and toasted coconut. In a very good spot to drink now. Paired nicely with Easter Lamb!

Ardanza not Alberdi. Overdelivers per usual. Dark, plush, smooth, very well integrated structurally. You def have to be into American oak but beyond that you’ll find cherries, raspberry jam, leather, cloves, balsamic, truffle, earth and mocha.

Slight funk. Sweet red fruits, liquorice, tobacco leaves with tons of dried rosemary. Silky smooth, beautiful.

My go to for a bigger wine. Plum and good juicy tannin and I enjoy all the interesting oak.

From 30-year old vines. 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha. Tempranillo spent 36 months on 4-year old American oak, Garnacha spent 30 months on 2-year old American oak, bottled in 2011, released, fall of 2015. Vivid Ruby with red fruit aromas, spices and earthy notes. The palate revealed a complex structure with full ripe fruit, cherry and raspberry with some vanilla, mocha and tobacco notes. The finish had typical Rioja earthy mineral flavor, silky tannins and a long ending. Will continue to improve! Nice!
