First birthday wine. I liked the history intertwined between pousse d’or and potel. Added element of the same vintage was supposed to elevate the experience. But it took too long for this wine to show anything exciting and it was a dud.

A nice wine that I am appreciating more on this second bottle. The first vintage for Pousse d'Or of this Montrachet neighbor. A lot of richness here as the air has its way and the temperature creeps up. A nice touch of saline grounds the wine, and the nose is very seductive. I think I preferred the 07 bottling, when they had a few years to work the land and it felt more balanced. But this is lovely too- would be great with something like scallops, I think!
