Wow. More than I expected. Mineral, saline, lively verve, citrus. Lifting finish. A nod to burgundy to be sure.

Feb 26th, 2017Not burgundy, but you would never guess california. Different even from other SCM chards i've had, the huge acidity is there and plenty of lemon and gravel but also presents a creaminess as it warms. Whatever this is it's good now but will be great later. Best in a couple years or with a couple days of air.

Feb 5th, 2017This is what California chard should taste like. Pure, no flashy oak, well balanced.

Feb 25th, 2017Jamie's first Chard - Santa Cruz grapes, rather than his usual Sonoma Pinot Noirs. MY style of Chard - minerally, tart, citrus, lemon. 2014, 12.75 ABV. Love it, reminds me of early Peay Chards with the minerality.
