Moderate reddish purple. Strongly aromatic with wild dark berries, plum, and spicy oak. Medium weight with sappy, dark fruit, spice, and moderate acid and tannin. Sourced from the Cohn Vineyard of the Russian River Valley and aged in 43% new French oak which should integrate better with a little more time in the bottle. The vineyard, which was the source of the first KB Pinot, has always been dry farmed and is know for its iron-rich clay loam soil known as Terra Rosa. 14.2% ABV.
