Sunny, ripe plum, raspberry, vanilla and nicely integrated (American?) oak, vanilla and baking spice aromas. Enticing. Pretty balanced for its 15.3 alcohol, some heat in the finish. Medium bodied with unapologetic New World sexiness. Plum, earth and vanilla persistent in the finish with a bit of heat. Match with goat cheese, older cheddar, flat iron steak frites. Handles its ripeness and boldness in a jazzy balance that makes it a good value. More food wine than a supper for me. Using for an Intro to Food and Wine class.

It’s Kirkland and it’s a great buy. More alcohol content than a Kavanaugh frat party. Berries, vanilla, a little oak, and it’s smooth.

Beautiful ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, green notes, light barnyard, metals and white pepper.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, spices, chocolates, licorice, light bell pepper, leather and pepper.

Medium plus in finish with round tannins and spices.

A Nice California Zinfandel. Nicely balanced, with a gentle mouth feel and a kick. Good by itself, as a sipping wine, or with food.
Needs 15 minutes to open up. Drinking well now, the 2012 was better, though.

15.3% alcohol by volume.

Medkum bodied. Really opened up in the second glass so needs time to breath. Great deal and definitely will buy again.

The alcohol comes through but doesn't bite too hard. Not terribly complex but has some interesting notes. Dark fruit and a bit earthy.

This one is Great right out of the bottle. However, it does become more complex as it opens up in the decanter.

Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.

Great fruity nose with blackberries, cherries, blueberries, light vanilla, flat Cola, licorice, currants, wild flowers and black pepper.

Full-bodied but not bold. Elegant and jammy, with gorgeous legs and medium plus acidity.

Fruity and dry on the palate with plums, blackberry jam, blueberries, sweet cherries, vanilla, licorice, wood, black currants, spices and black pepper.
Nice length on the finish with soft, round tannins and spices.

Very enjoyable and well balanced. This 2012 vintage from California is just great. I kept a few bottles, and I think I need to get to them by the end of the year. Definitely peeking now. I just love the nose on it.

I Paired it with Parmesan cheese (before dinner) and then, pasta with meat sauce.

15.3% (awesome) alcohol by volume.

Very nice deep red color with a pink rim.

Medium to full bodied with gorgeous, long and meaty legs.

Fruity zinfandale characteristics on the nose, with raisins, figs, blackberries, sweet blueberries, white pepper and alcohol.
Opened up in one hour.

Fruity on the palate with raisins, cranberries, sweet cherry and pomegranate.

Long finish with bold, supple tannins and peppercorn.

Balanced with enough acidity to make it interesting.
Great value with a great taste. Very recommended.

A Costco try. Wasn’t the worst old vine zin I have ever had nor was it the best. Got the oak on the nose and midway through. Some of the dark fruit/black cherry characteristics. Was a perfectly acceptable table wine to go with steak and sautéed mushrooms. I would probably pick up another bottle to have around. Had the 2019 in July of 2022.
