May 19th, 2019I've arrived at the opinion that Basil Hayden isn't particularly good. Not very complex and obnoxiously tannic on the finish. It's been relegated to Manhattan status where it works just fine when paired with a good vermouth. The cocktail is a 9.0.

Quite possibly the smoothest bourbon I've ever tasted. Had the pleasure of sipping it in Augusta Georgia about a month ago.
