This was everything I thought it could be. And regardless of the outcome of Game 5, this wine is gonna have me in a nice spot! Nose is dense black and purple fruit. Floral perfume that I could smell from 10 feet away. Baked rye bread. Oregano and basil. Entry is black and blue fruit with a hint of purple. Nice acidity. Dark chocolate, hint of sweet plums. The oregano and basil shows in the middle. Powerful integrated finish with floral notes, black and blue and purple fruit. Fruitcake spice, pepper, tannin is sweet but not restrictive. This is every bit worthy of 96 and probably more. Still has a little growing to do perhaps, but why not drink this beauty now?
