This trend might just last a few rosé seasons. And I’m sure it would sell just as well if it was filled with knockoff Mateus. Fortunately it is not. The blend is 35% Gamay, 33% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 12% Grolleau, 5% Pineau d’Aunis, 2% Pinot Gris. Those varietals indicate it’s probably not from Provence.

In fact it’s sourced from the Loire Valley (Muscadet and Touraine). Although it’s crisp and dry, there’s a noticeably contrast to Provençal rosés, which I find usually lean toward a citrus and peach, tart and tangy, high acidity profile. By comparison, the Forty Ounce has a more mellow profile. Watermelon, orange peel, cherry, and crushed rock. If all the other rosés are Hampton Water, this is Hipster Water, and will certainly provide enormous appeal to fans of La Croix.

Strawberry and citrus, with rose petal and salt water. 40oz. to freedom.

I think I have been in the wine business too long. This is better than most things one sips out of a 40 dog.

Strawberries and citrus. Easy but needs to be cold. It's going to be the #rosé of the season because it's good, organic, liter bottle, and $14.99

Zesty citrus and quick finish. Artificial strawberry, Meyer lemon. OK.
