High tannins and acidity. Strong oak presence. Deep red hue, develops wonderfully on the palate. Not so fruity. Excellent first chateauneuf du pape for me!

This wine was unpleasantly tannic when we bought it for $10 six years ago. Now, 2016, it is quite delicious, drinking at its peak and worth the wait.
