Very enjoyable--not over done. Chocolate, blackberry, new leather, and a bit of Syrah burnt rubber or bacon fat. Would have judged this Rhone if not for high AbV. One of the best in this price range.

Cooler climate shiraz--smoke in da face...and peppercorn crusted smushed blueberries. Inky dark, powerful presence.

Purchased at Terroir Wine Pub. Peppery and thick, pairs great with falafel Brie and smoked Gouda.
