Thought it was a good night for it 2006 on the vintage red to brick on the rim mushroom , forest floor , cherry fruit , floral slight oak frames the wine - super wine that has aged well

Medium ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of red plum, red cherry, strawberry, intense dried rose petals, a bit of funky earth, nutmeg, cloves; dry, medium plus acid, medium smooth tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; long finish, intensely perfumed with rose petals and spice, outstanding

Intense, cool-climate, lean Pinot. Needs food to soften the austerity. Superb.

Not a Champagne but a still wine of Pinot. Just amazing hint cranberry and AMAZING minerality. Drink now, and enjoy the hell out of it!

W&S Top 100, my first time trying this too. I was 2 producers in and two new wines that I would buy whenever hit my lips.

Perhaps one notch more intellectually enjoyable than actually enjoyable, but good to try. A well aged Pinot noir from Champagne, specially from Bouzy. Has very little fruit - the mineral and acid notes dominate here. Not necessarily in a bad way, but this needs some food for sure or the iron-y taste can be a bit much. Very long finish, helped for sure by the acid. Interesting...but for the price I’d probably stick with Burgundy.
