Wonderful wine! Nose of blueberry, spice, granite, lavender and blackberry. Very in your face but also refined and complex. Really great. Palate is big, ripe, mineral, granite driven and very very olivey. Green and dash of kalamate but finished with major granite. Nose is so elegant, lifted and bright. Fresh and deep with power and finesse and lovely purity. Really a great effort here. Big structure, sap and deep concentration. Ideally better in 5 years but can be drunk on the fruit.

Lovely st Joseph. Decanted 3 hours, in a pretty good place actually. So nice and deep briny dark fruits with good acid and a quite complete finish. Delicious. Excellent with skirt steaks off the grill.
