So dark and rich, it is very 'satisfying,' but not very complex or Riojano in style. Should be great for both near and medium term drinking. Looses a bit of old world feel for me.

Medium plus purple. Nose of blackberry, currant, cedar/pencil shaving. On the palate this offer similar dark fruits plus a toasted, pastry like note. Texturally is has medium acid, fine grained and persistent tannins that longer a bit and leave a firmly dry finish. This bottle has been open for a few days, so your mileage may vary.
