Capital Z Lodi Zinfandel

I didn’t have high expectations for this value #lodi #zinfandel. Blackberry jam aromas dominate. In the mouth there’s the expected rich briar fruit flood but it’s quickly followed by nice acid structure, dark chocolate and coffee notes mid-palate, faint warming spices and tongue-coating tannins on the long finish. It is unexpectedly quaffable and a dandy value at $11 from #wsjwineclub

Lots of flavor.

Sweet and thick Zinfandel with a clean finish. Didn’t really get the mocha and spice flavors on the label; seemed a bit more mild.

Excellent value. Delicious on its own. Rich and fruity. Unsure about pairing

Real good. Smokey, currants, blackberries, spice

Smooth. Light fruit heavy body

Very good Zinfandel. Delicious berry flavors on palate with wonderful color

Really, really like this Zin! From Lodi, CA, the “Home of Zin.” Has smooth, velvety, slightly sweet berry taste!
