We recently met up with friends at a BYO restaurant and this beauty was in the tasting line up. Introducing Hugh Hamilton’s Single Vineyard ‘Black Blood III’ 2014 Shiraz which is the third part in a three part series from this McLaren Vale winery. The series focuses on the stunning soils of the region and provides utter indulgence in a bottle. This 3rd instalment comes from the Black Sheep Vineyard.

The nose is so welcoming and warm with black & red fruits, dark chocolate brownie and dried herbs. While in the mouth it has silky smooth tannins with notes of juicy plums, bright cranberries and a dusting of spice and herbs. Not to mention the packaging was pretty darn impressive with a stunning necktie and grey & white tissue paper that resembles soil. Fancy!

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
