Not sure what to think about this one. Less than 13% abv. This is a bottle that is a little bit perplexing, definitely not the best wine you have ever had, yet just can't stop sipping on. The nose of this is really interesting... peppermint, black cherry, ginger, cola. Entry has a touch of heat. Not necessarily acidic although it certainly progressed that way after being open for a few hours. Palate was underripe black cherry, mint, cola, herb, black tea and a hint of pipe tobacco. Medium bodied wine. Finishes rather soft and without much tannin. Really good balance and structure, although I do not think I would hold this wine for very long. This is my first Lemberger and I really should probably pursue others to compare as it is a variety I don't know much about.
