A Conn Creek neighbor for this particular vineyard.
Nose has cherry/plum liquor, dried citrus rind, charred oak, rain-soaked soil, spring green herbs, mocha-coffee and toasted graham cracker.
Palate has cedar-infused black currant, plum skin, earthy and dirty wet leather and mild tannins.
Paired with a wonderfully grilled t-bone tonight.
This bottle easily has several years to go, enjoyed in it's youth tonight for sure. Future bottles can be 2020-2023 without concern.
For me, this wine is reminiscent of many 90's vintages of Sterling (SVR) wines that we have enjoyed over the years, minty cigar box, just wonderful.

Weak vintage? I'll take it every time. Dark fruit, good acidity, nice follow through, resolved tannins. Beautiful now-I don't know how much longer it can hang on. I think this is the end of my 93's. Just perfect with my Flannery burgers.
