Nice winery, nice owners and welcoming staff. Brought home a bottle and drank it, chilled. Reddish pink, excellent clarity. Floral aroma, cherry-berry and orchard fruit flavors, crispish finish. Cherry and tart apple aftertaste., with a hint of malolactic in there. You can taste the Pinot noir in this one. Quaffable, perfect for sharing on a warm summer evening.

These notes are for the 2016 Hazelfern "Winter Rosé" - unmatched and the absolute perfect wine for Thanksgiving/Christmas. Produced specifically to pair with heartier, cold-weather meals, this 78% Pinot Noir, 19% Chardonnay and 3% Tempranillo Rosé is barrel-aged for 12 months in used French oak. It's chock full of black cherry, raspberry and pomegranate fruit; along with, subtle savory herbal characteristics of sage and rosemary and a hint of earth, sea salt and hazelnuts. Vibrant acidity plays a crucial role in making this a phenomenal wine to pair with a myriad of flavors. Love it!
