Opened for 8 hours prior - nose of cherry liquor, kirsch, licorice, and tar. Sense of heat on the nose. Serralunga in style. Dry finish with persistent tannins. Dark cherry notes, but the alcohol spikes a bit. Leather and soft cedar notes coat the mid-palate. This was better prior to air, serve a little closer to cellar temp.
