Gran Moraine takes its name from cataclysmic floods that occurred in the northern Willamette Valley during the last ice age. Aged in 40% new oak, aromas of red very fruits, floral and black pepper notes. On the palate blackberry and ripe strawberry flavors with cola, tea and earthy notes. Soft tannins, silky texture, long ending with berry fruits and floral notes. Very nice.

Great depth and balance. Lovely medium ruby color, forward on the nose and very elegant.

Surprising. 2011 was good. 2012 being a great year I was expecting something enjoyable. Yet a good example of: sticking stubbornly to parameters, can mess everything.
