Lagniappe Red Willow Syrah

Amazing how well this bottle showed over the bottle this last November. Smoke, balsamic, yet the same wonderful fruit. I’m upgrading this rating.

This bottle took about an hour to open up after popping the cork. Sweet blackberry and raspberry flavors with dried herbs and smoke. Some cola comes through, too. Years ahead for this wine!

Creosote and anise, great acid, super smoky. A little violet perfume. Noted some sulfur on the beginning, but blew off quickly.

Should be great with pork tenderloinand cab sauv reduction tonight.

Very nice wine. Sad to see it go from the list.

Quite good - more tertiary elements have evolved - better than I remember - forest floor and mushrooms...

Very closed just after opening the bottle - after 30 min tertiary elements evolved - smoke, bacon, meat .... very delicious

Sulfur up front that blows off after about 5 minutes, subtle hints remain. Smoke and licorice on aroma, soft and smooth on palate
