I used to have Glenmorangie in my hipflask when I was a teenager going on various country sporting outings - horse trials etc. It was a go to, perhaps because it was prominent in the spirit cabinet of one of our fathers. It's rather dropped off my radar since. The classic 10 year is incredibly approachable. Honey and orange zest with a dollop of vanilla. Not overly complex but just about right for a bracing walk during the winter months.

Such good balance on this one....sweet but not cloying, spicy but not tangy, smoky but not peaty. Grassy and floral but also has nice body and a good strong alcohol bite on the medium finish. Very accessible and reasonably priced, this is an easy Highlands staple.

Bright golden color. Nose of honeysuckle, toffee, and pear. Tastes of sugared fruit, caramel, and salt. Long warming finish. Nice Highlands Whisky.
