San Lorenzo Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese - Nerello Cappuccio

Fresh, wild, energetic, full of life, full of fruit, subtle, elegant, long, bright...
When Burgundy meet the best of Nebbiolo, with a foot in the wildest Willamette valley hills...is Nerello Mascalese the hidden son of Pinot and Nebbiolo?

Best wine had recently. Fresh and lots of dark fruit, but will get better with some moderate cellar time.

Maybe an off bottle or closed down. Not as great as prior experiences but had all the underlying stuff to deliver as had in the past.

Full-bodied, cherry-flavored Etna Rosso, with a long finish and elegant aroma similar to Burgundy. The wine is perfectly balanced and has no harsh tannins. A great wine—really at the top of Etna Rosso. Powerful in a sense despite being a lighter wine. Underrated on the wine apps. Smooth and elegant. Also expensive, but worth it.

First date night with B. The PERFECT Etna Rosso pizza wine. High acidity, light / medium body and complexity that lingers across the palette. Recommended by our server as her favorite Etna on the list. Def need this again 😍
