Solid wine here; a bit closed to begin with before opening up to reveal aromas of rusty nails, basil oil, wet roses, raspberry, dried cranberry, balsamic, leather, red liquorice and touch of brown spice. Quite approachable and tannins further resolved with some air time.

Brilliant garnet center with salmon edges. Bright luscious aromas of rose and violet, wild berries, and minerals. Some alcohol heat. Lots of ripe red berries and cherries on the palate - initially very juicy but the tannins quickly dry it out. Decently long finish. Very enjoyable with some spicy Italian sausage with tomato sauce - I'd love to try this with a couple more years of age to see it soften up a bit.

Moderate nose with Violets, roses, cranberry and cherries. Bright cherry strawberry flavors and sweet licorice finish. Acidity is a little flat, lingering tannins and high in alcohol with a slightly sour finish. Bright garnet color with a orange.

Proper neb here. Oak is no where to be found; all just gorgeous aromas of leather, truffle, roses, cherry, strawberry and orange zest. Lovely pucker of tannin to it too

A wine really to savor. And likely better in a few years. Delicate aroma of roses, violets and red berries leads into fruits of red berries and sweet red cherries sheared with a cutting crumbling earth mineral quality with a sweet finish of red licorice. A real delicate delight. Top draw for the vintage.

Well textured and balanced with notes of fresh red berries and a long dry finish. Very nice Barolo from the Langhe region in Piedmont. 90-91
